May 2, 2014: Bear were spotted this spring by numerous Borough residents. Dan O’Brien discovered what might be a bear den:
May 3, 2014: Community members came together to prepare the Laurel Mountain Park pool for summer fun.
May 5, 2014: Just want to thank everyone who came out to our park and pool clean up! It was a great community effort. The pool and grounds look great…next step: pool touch ups and resurfacing. We are getting excited to start a fun, new season. Thanks, again! Elizabeth

May 9, 2014: Sadly, our normally peaceful community experienced a tragedy in the murder of Angela Cavalero, 52, on an unspecified date. Her funeral announcement listed her date of death, allegedly at the hands of homeowner Greg Randall, as Friday, May 9, 2014.
Greg has been captured and is in jail without bail. Below are links to news articles on the case:

May 15, 2014: Mother Nature continues to challenge the Borough on its road maintenance. The heavy rains of the past couple of days is undoing much of the work in progress. Please be patient with the persons working so hard to maintain our roads.
