LMP KIOSK DEDICATED TO ANN WOODALL
Laurel Mountain Park board members are pleased with Jason Miller’s Eagle Scout project—a kiosk on the side of Walnut Road on the Park property.
They are also pleased with the involvement maintained by former resident Anne Woodall, who now resides in Ligonier Township.
The two pleasures came together on October 7, 2013, when Ann and Jason were honored guests at a tea held at Gretchen Griffith’s home and hosted by the Park board.
Jason chose his Eagle Scout project because of his past connection with Laurel Mountain Pool. He swam there when he was younger, and considers the pool is the best-kept secret in Laughlintown.During the time Jason was seeking a project members of the borough and Park Association were considering constructing a kiosk as a communication tool for the community.
Sue Crouse, resident and member of Laurel Mountain Borough council, supported the sign to increase visibility of community meetings and events for both residents and visitors.
The sign was dedicated to Ann, who with her late husband Robert, raised their family in the Borough. Throughout the years they not only enjoyed the benefits of the pool and shelter house, they (more…)
