Regular Monthly Meeting Held February 17, 2010

Absent: Snyder

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm with a quorum present. The minutes of the January 4, 2010 meeting were approved with corrections. The following reports were submitted to council. Treasurer’s Report:

Mayor’s Report:

Mayor Light reported that the December 2009 police report shows there were 366 patrols, 29 incidents investigated, 26 emergency responses and three traffic stops for the year. Patrol time in 2009 totaled 55:32, total time on all items was 72:30.

Mayor Light noted that he did not declare the borough a disaster area during the recent heavy snows but municipalities in the county did declare a state of emergency.

Mayor Light suggested that council look into reflective markers for fire hydrants; with high snow volume it is difficult to locate hydrants.

Mayor Light also noted that council may want to investigate the possibility of signage to make all roads in the borough one way if

LMB REORGANIZATION MEETING: JANUARY 4, 2010

Reorganization Meeting Held Monday, January 4, 2010

Present: Griffith, Snyder, Holland, O’Brien, Mayor Light, Solicitor Miller

Absent: Adair

The reorganization meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Mayor Philip Light. Mayor Light swore in reelected council members Snyder, Griffith & O’Brien. Newly elected council member Adair was unable to attend this meeting but will be sworn in prior to his first council meeting.

Mayor Light asked for nominations to the position of Council president. A motion to appoint Joseph Griffith to the position of council president was made by Ms. Snyder, seconded by Mr. O’Brien – carried. A motion to close nominations for this position was made by Mr. Holland, seconded by Ms. Snyder – carried. Mayor Light asked for nominations to the position of Council Vice President. A motion was made by Mr. Griffith, seconded by Mr. Holland to appoint Ms. Snyder to the Position of Vice President. There being no further nominations for this position a motion to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for the above was made by Mr. Griffith, seconded by Ms. Snyder, carried.

Mr. Griffith made discretionary appointments as follows.

Vacancy Board Chairman – Daneen Kinsey

Secretary/Treasurer – Taryn Ankney
